I have owned this American drill for several years. I have tried it many times. It is mostly used for drilling smaller holes into sandstone and limestone.

It is not a quick release or a percussion drill but thanks to its lower weight, it can be used in places where it would be impossible to work with a heavier drill. It can be used for work on a wall.

It is a very simple pneumatic tool which is practically unbreakable. You need to carefully look after the spring lock which broke after the drill had been dropped on the ground several times. Naturally, as in the case of any machine of its type, you should look after the quality of air that runs through it. It should not be moist. And do not forget to oil it. Special dehydration and oiling kits are used for this purpose. I have bought one such kit only for 100 PLN which makes it quite price-friendly.

It is a power drill meant for working in special conditions or for softer rocks. It is not suitable for drilling into granite because it is too slow for that. For its little size (47 cm) it is not very good for your back when you work in a large angle on a horizontal surface.

Chicago Pneumatic CP 0014 is a useful little tool for drilling holes of small diameters. It is ideal for work that requires precision and thanks to light percussion, you can use it for drilling into fragile materials – well set percussion allows drilling into thin slabs without worrying about damaging them. Another advantage is easy drilling in different angles.
