New attractive materials rarely appear on the stone market. This follows from the very essence of the treasure hidden under the Earth\u2019s surface. Moreover, new types of stone hardly ever become popular. Let us have a look at one exception.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Duke White has not been on the Polish market for long. It was first introduced at the stone fair in Pozna\u0144 four years ago by the company EGA. Duke White is a beautiful stone that has found its regular customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Duke White is a registered trademark for medium grey to light grey gneiss. On the world market this stone can be referred to as granite, but according to European norms it is in fact gneiss. Geologically, the stone is a type of gneiss called paragneiss. This stone was first described and recorded in the geological encyclopaedia in 1891 by a German petrographer Karl Heinrich Ferdinand Rosenbusch.<\/p>\n\n\n

Duke White Quarry is located in the Italian Alps in Piedmont. There are diagonal layers of white, grey and black stone on the site and three types of stone that are quarried there: light grey Duke White, grey Duke White, and a relatively unknown Duke Black. Once quarried, the stone undergoes a strict categorization, which allows the different types of the stone to be classified before it is cut into slabs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Duke White, which contains quartz crystals, is the whitest of all the Italian granites available on the market. The minerals in the stone do well under various weather conditions. Freezing and thawing of the stone only increases its durability; Duke White can be therefore used in the exterior as well as interior. The stone is frost- and acid-resistant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Duke White is also sold under the name Bianco Veglia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The exclusive supplier of Duke White in Poland is the EGA Group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
