The word mandala comes from Sanskrit, which is one of the oldest languages spoken by several thousand people in India. Mandala means circle or magic circle and the first mandalas were seen in the floor plan of buildings in ancient Egypt, Babylon and Java, they have been known since the beginning of mankind and can be found in all religions. Apart from architecture, the mandala can also be found in art and psychology. If you enjoyed colouring books as a child, you can now get so-called relaxation colouring books that are full of these harmonious circles and drawings, or you can draw a mandala yourself. In psychology, it is mainly used as a relaxation tool and a complement to traditional treatments.<\/p>\n
